Having a child with special needs may seem overwhelming
at times, and you may be facing challenges that are difficult to cope with alone. Talking with someone who has "been there" can provide support as you face those challenges. We invite you to request a
connection with a trained peer parent. These parents volunteer to provide support to other parents, and we can link you with a peer parent based on your child's special needs, age, your geographic location, the
language you speak and/or other commonalities you identify. Peer parents can offer practical support and tips on parenting a child with special needs and links to the community. They can provide a
"listening ear" when you need to talk. Please call our Family Support Coordinator at 800-281-3023, ext. 101 if you are interested in being linked with a peer parent.
